Culture and the Arts
Culture vultures can enjoy to their hearts' content in Brielle. There's a good reason why Brielle is well-known as an arts and culture town. It has its own theatre and a full programme of music events. There are regular art exhibitions, in the Sint-Catharijnekerk for example, and the beautifully restored former synagogue on the Turfkade - de Sjoel. There are a number of galleries you can visit and the nearby fishing village of Zwartewaal is home to the regional artists collective 'Kunstkring Voorne'.

BREStheater is the ultimate venue for many well-known and emerging comedians and singers, for fantastic musical afternoons or evening and interesting theatre performances. Galleries
There are a number of galleries in Brielle, the three most prominent of which are Van Bellen Art on the Markt, Galerie Nobelstraat (the gallery of Willy Groot, Nobelstraat 8) and De Galerie on Voorstraat. They are situated less than a hundred metres from each other. You'll find the most beautiful paintings, sculptures, ceramic and other art objects there.
Music and festivals
It's not hard to find a great musical afternoon or evening in Brielle. Whether pop, jazz, classical or modern, there's an event or an evening out for every music lover. That might be a performance by a vocal ensemble in the Sint-Catherijnekerk, for example. Or intimate little concerts in Brielle living rooms. What about a big band festival on the Markt? Or Brielle Blues, which takes place every August on three stages inside Brielle's ramparts. A jazz concert in the theatre or listening to an open-air carillon concert while enjoying a glass of wine? Maybe you'd rather visit an exhibition. In that case, one possible location is the Sint-Catherijnekerk, where there are regularly one or more exhibitions, particularly from April through October. Other location where exhibitions can regularly be visited include 't Dijckhuis in Vierpolders and Gallery/studio Kunst in Uitvoering in Zwartewaal harbour.
